The Clouds of Fog
The night rolled out
With waves of fog
Drifting in and out
Of the oak trees
Sturdy branches
In the moon-driven
Night. Everyone
Had lost track of time
As if daydreaming
Of days full
Of honey nectar
And cherry blossoms
Bursting from the
Highest limbs.
The small clouds of fog
Floated through the
Night like jellyfish
In the bluest ocean
Off the Oregon coast.
