Confused Values

Terrorists plot and scheme
to destroy their enemies
who are protected part-time
by intelligence agencies
that may lack the intelligence
to prevent attacks,
but sometimes capture the perps,
who are treated as humans,
at least in America,
given fair trials,
rights guaranteed
as much as any citizen,
and if found guilty
sentenced to prison,
food, shelter, clothing,
medical services
denied to many of our people,
all at public expense
paid for with the taxes
from the same folk
they tried to destroy.
