Love Was

Natty Ice, Jim Beam,
A bag of smoke,
A bottle of
Vicodin,
And
You and me
On a tattered couch,
In that one-
Bedroom,
On
Florence Avenue
At Dawn,
As
Chris Cornell screamed
Love was
Like
Suicide.
