Elijiah Rios, a Texas transplant, juggles between fatherhood, arts administration, and indentured servitude to writing, acting and producing. His dedication to activism peaked in establishing Madmedia, a multi-media artist collective, and in producing Pocho/a, a touring performance of music, poetry, monologues and video sketches examining Pocho identity and US-Mexico border issues.
After completing a National Performance Network Artist Residency in 2005, Eli transplanted to California in hopes to grow and strengthen as an artist. When not in production, Eli serves MACLA/ Moviemento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana as a program coordinator for Visual Arts and Education.
