Mark Dixon is a poet, graphic artist and photographer in the Los Angeles area. He is a member of the Furniture Guild, a small community of poets founded in Pasadena in 2000.
Mark has performed his dark, urban poetry at the San Gabriel Valley Poetry Festival, the Concert for the Homeless in Riverside, and at libraries, cafes, and coffeehouses throughout southern California. He has read and discussed his poetry with English classes at Occidental College, Whittier College, and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and presented a spoken word performance, "Queen of Angels", at Antelope Valley College. His first book of Los Angeles poetry, Sunrise on Cesar Chavez, was published in 2004 by Stoker Creek Press and is available on Amazon.com.
