Angel Uriel Perales was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of eleven. He holds a B.A. in English and a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Louisville and another B.F.A. in Filmmaking from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
His most recent publications include poems and short stories that appeared in Poetry Super Highway, The Thinker, Framed, Lily, and Open Street Review, among others. He has written two collections of poetry and lyrical prose, Brown Recluse (Rumrazor Press, 2002, 97 pages) and Long (Rumrazor Press, 2005, 87 pages).
He has worked for Hard Copy, Entertainment Tonight, and Paramount Pictures. He currently lives in Studio City and works for a network affiliated news station in the L.A. market.
