"Born in the Chicago area the same year Kerouac died, 1969, I moved with my family to the Los Angeles area when I was five.
After attending school in the San Gabriel Valley, I went and got a BA in Philosophy. Though I took creative writing courses during that time, it has only been recently that I returned to writing poetry. I also manage a Yahoo! online poetry group called The Contemporary Poet Guild (see link below).
My other interests include music, reading, writing poetry and art. In regards to my poetry, I write poems of various styles covering various topics. Some are inspirational, others are sober and existential. Some are autobiographical, while others are observational. There are a number of writers who have influenced me, like Charles Bukowski, and those of the early twentieth century, including the Beat writers. I had two of my poems ("Rumor," in the book Perturbed, and "Venice Beach" in the book Along Lighted Alleys) appear in the Venice Beach local paper, The Venice Beachhead. I am also a member of the Poetry Society of America."
