Heather Palmer writes to fuse reality in word. She uses minimal syntax in short fiction form to “drop” readers into character. Her language minces guttural, and often succinct, dialogue, because she prefers action and motive to direct character, with dialogue as aftermath. She studies for her Masters of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and has published in Elimae, No Posit, Unlikely Stories, and Lark Magazine.
