Born in Rajasthan, India in 1954, Dr Rati Saxena specialized in study of Veda, especially the Atharvaveda.
She's published three collections of her own poetry in Hindi, Malayalam ( translated) and English-The serpent coiling woman body, as well as one critical work on renowned Malayalam poet Balamoni Amma.
She has translated about ten Malayalam works (both prose and poetry) into Hindi and published articles in a number of journals.
