Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Yvonne Garrett received a B.A. in English from Smith College and has also studied at Westfield College-University of London (U.K.), The New School Writing Program (NYC) and the Tin House Writer's Workshop. She has lived in the East Village/NYC for several years. A short story, "Bookstore Cowboy," will run in the next issue of Thema; "The Reiver's Wife" appears in the November 2005 issue of Bardsong; and a poem, "The First Days Back," will appear in the Summer 2006 issue of The Baltimore Review.
