| Happy National Poetry Month.
There’s a lot of great poetry events happening on Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, a whole month of readings (per usual), at Beyond Baroque and Tia Chucha Cultural Center, and events at Sideshow Rare and Remarkable Books, including a new reading: BAM, co-curated by BC Petrakos, Alicia Winski, and myself.
No doubt, you’ve all been writing or reading poetry, following authors, and poetry prompts provided by websites/newsletters. It’s a great month, to be sure, but please remember that poetry is a 24/7, 365 days of labor and love.
We’ve made a change to the staff box. I want to welcome aboard contributing editor and columnist, Alicia Winski, whose talent and expertise are very much welcome and appreciated.
Enjoy the new issue.
