It Has Come to Light |
Under some iridescent skies paved with lapis lazuli,
bathed in Apollo’s brightness or other deity's luminescence –
the essential foundation, the basis of all things that matter
appeared to me, on the wet morning after.
The lie lay before my eyes, the noises I could hear from the depths
as she sang Sweet Sangria or some other song going on forever in my ears.
A genuine epiphany made me sense the wise men came this way
like they did in the past to adore baby J –
new born light in the eyes of the world, saved from the innocents' massacre,
the infants' bloodshed, Herod's infantry's slaughter.
So much darkness before enlightenment
could not prevent other times to fall into sludge
when my contemporaries experience contentment
in phones, screens, vile virtual vices and shameless, debasing slime.
The golden calf may moo as much as its might allows it to,
no blazing will bless it as much as the spiritual beam enchant me.
