The Loner

I am an ignorant prophet

leaving decisions to fate

I gamble with each gust of wind

then watch all my dreams float away

I am a defective nomad

can never outrun my own race

I wait for the gun's explosion

and leave clouds of dust in my wake

I am a desperate gypsy

just a carnival freak on parade

I slip through the cracks of my past

to paint pleasant screens over decay
