Kari J.
Hayes

Kari J. Hayes is an author of poetry and prose who spins her words from her secret Santa Monica lair.
Raised by martini-swilling coyotes in the desert wastelands of California, her first poem was published when she was 11 years old as part of a collection which has long since moldered into dust.
Attempts to recover from that early childhood trauma has led her to work as a surgical assistant, a children's advocate, and an itinerant linguist. Drawn to the works of Pablo Neruda, Yehuda Amichai, and Wanda Coleman, her writing seeks to gently illustrate the light and dark of the human condition.
