"I'm 26. I grew up in New Lenox and watched as the small, almost rural town became a burgeoning suburb. After high school, I went to 4 different universities in 6 years and finally got my degree in English. After chickening out of teaching high school, I have stuck with my career in the home building industry, a job I started on a part time basis when the restaurant I worked in burned to the ground as I watched. I narrowly escaped a dismal future by leaving a five-year dysfunctional relationship and started writing again after a long hiatus after my grandmother died in July '05. I am now working on piecing together my beautiful life, and it's coming along well."
