Mary Torregrossa is a longtime member of the Emerging Urban Poets of Pasadena and has been published in many of their workshop anthologies. Along with a chapbook of early poems, Sleeping With Roses, Mary's work can be seen in the on-line magazines Rhode Island Roads and suddenprovidence. In 2001, she was profiled in The Los Angeles Times. She co-facilitates the Wednesday Critique at the Zephyr Coffeehouse with Don Campbell, and is a team member of Cynthia Briano's Love on Demand project, writing poems for folks as they stroll the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Mary lives in Baldwin Park, a diverse community laid out in the flatlands of the San Gabriel Valley.
